If you have a FAQ, please e-mail me at GeorgeTownMN at gmail. I’d love to hear from you!
What do you mean when you talk about your/the “Darkness”? Do you mean depression?
Basically yes. I didn’t know if I was “depressed”, there are a lot of things that the word “depression” can mean to a lot of different people. For me I felt alone, anxious, and in the dark, so I call it my darkness. I am in no way qualified to diagnose or treat anyone struggling with any mental (or physical) illness. These stories are my own and are shared in an effort to encourage transparency amongst ourselves. If you are feeling alone, depressed, anxious, or suicidal please contact someone who can help – a friend, therapist, doctor, or call 911 if you feel your wellbeing or another’s is in danger.
Is this another homemaking blog?
No, not really. Recipes and tips for keeping your home, however, are going to be part of this blog. Largely because these are things I spend a lot of my time doing, and when I finally began to do them well my emotional fog began to lift. I plan to touch on homemaking but spend a lot of time on deeper thoughts.
Why don’t you call your kids by their real names?
Privacy. That isn’t to say you couldn’t figure out what they are but for general purposes I like to keep them a little more on the anonymous side. They aren’t asking to be talked about after all. Plus, this is the one place in the world where I get more attention than they do.
What are affiliate links?
Sometimes bloggers and businesses have what are called “affiliate programs”. This means they give credit to the blogger or business who sent you to their site and give a commission (usually between 10% and 40% of the sale, depending on their policies). Any reviews I give are purely my own opinions. I’m about being real.
